Founded by Cliff Simmons in 2023, Camas is built on over four decades of real-world experience in the fire and security industry. Cliff brings a wealth of specialist knowledge and proven leadership to every client, every building, and every assessment.

Founder & Lead Consultant
Tier 2 Competent Fire Risk Assessor (IFSM)
Cliff began his career in the fire and security sector in 1983. Over the last 41 years, he has become one of the most respected figures in the industry – known for his integrity, attention to detail, and ability to simplify complex compliance requirements.
Before founding Camas, Cliff:
- Ran his own successful fire and security businesses for 28 years
- Provided consultancy and leadership to other firms for a further 9 years
- Gained advanced certifications in fire risk assessment, fire alarm design, and fire door inspections
- Delivered hundreds of fire safety training sessions for teams across the UK
Cliff’s experience covers a wide range of sectors – from commercial and industrial sites to residential developments and complex high-risk environments.
